TCP/Link And TCP/Link PLUS

Failsafe Systems has been delivering high performance and high functionality TCP/IP services to Tandem customers worldwide since 1987.

This collection of services has been traditionally offered in a high performance Front End Processor (FEP) implementation under the product name TCP/Link. Subsequently, most product features have been ported to run in conjunction with Tandem's TCP/IP product and are available under the product name TCP/Link PLUS.

Highlights of the TCP/Link and TCP/Link PLUS product lines are:

• Availability of all major product features in both a high performance FEP version as well as Tandem TCP/IP version

• A major new product feature implementing Remote Procedure Call (Open Systems Standard ONC RPC/XDR) to facilitate client/server applications.

• VT6530 provides access to Tandem 6530 applications from DEC VT terminals.

• Programmatic FTP allows downloading, uploading, or crossloading of files under customer application control.
